Who Can Issue Each Certificate?

When Is Each Certificate Issued?

At 3FOLD Training FZE, we follow PMI®'s instructions and ask students to complete the knowledge check during the fifth and final session of their PMP® Exam Preparation course whenever possible. This allows the student to receive the PMI® Certificate of Achievement on the same day the training is completed — aligning the training record with the student's official PMI® course record.

Where Can Students Find the PMI® Certificate?

After passing the knowledge check, students can access the Certificate of Achievement directly through their PMI® account. The certificate can be downloaded, saved, printed, and accessed again whenever needed.

PMI® retains the certificate and the associated course-completion record in the learner's account, so it's always available for future reference — including for a PMP® exam audit.

What Happens After the Knowledge Check Is Completed — and If Not?

Once the student completes and passes the knowledge check:

• ✔ The course is marked as completed in the learner's PMI® account.
• ✔ The PMI® Certificate of Achievement is generated automatically.
• ✔ The completed training is automatically populated in the PMP® examination application.
• ✔ If the application is selected for audit, the training record is also automatically populated in the audit package.

What Appears on Your PMP® Exam Application

If the Knowledge Check Is Completed

After the student completes and passes the knowledge check, the training section of the PMP® examination application may display Done. The application confirms that the official PMP® Exam Prep Course fulfils the required project management training hours.

If the Knowledge Check Is Not Completed

If the student is registered for the official PMP® Exam Prep Course but has not completed the knowledge check, the training section of the application may display Course Started. It may also show a confirmation that the student is registered for the course, an instruction to continue and complete the coursework, and the required training hours as incomplete.

What Is the Certificate Used For?

The training certificate and completion record provide evidence that the applicant completed the required project management education. They are used to:

• ✔ Satisfy the project management education requirement for the PMP® examination application
• ✔ Verify training completion if the application is selected for audit

Can Applicants Trained by a Non-ATP Apply for the PMP® Exam?

Applicants trained by a non-authorized provider may still apply for the PMP® examination, provided they meet PMI®'s eligibility requirements. Please note that a non-authorized provider cannot:

• ✗ Issue the PMI® Certificate of Achievement
• ✗ Enrol the student in the official ATP course through PMI®'s platform
• ✗ Create the same course-completion record in the learner's PMI® account

Does the PMI® Learning Platform Replace the Training?

No. Access to PMI®'s learning platform, official materials, and knowledge check does not replace the instructor-led training. The knowledge check is only one part of the course-completion process — students must still complete the required training hours and participate in the course.

Instructor-led training provides explanations of project management concepts, practical examples and applications, clarification of difficult topics, PMP® examination guidance, opportunities to ask questions, and knowledge and experience from the trainer.
