3. PMP® Exam Fee in India (2026)

PMI® does not have a separate India pricing for the PMP® exam. The fee is fixed globally in USD and all candidates pay the same rate regardless of where they sit the exam. What changes is the INR equivalent you pay, which depends on the exchange rate at the time of payment.

4. Total PMP® Certification Cost in India: Two Paths Compared

There are essentially two ways to approach the cost — the membership path and the non-membership path. Here is how the PMI® fees compare across the two paths (training cost is separate and varies by provider):

Paying PMI® Fees from India: What to Know

PMI® fees are paid directly on the PMI® website (pmi.org) in USD. A few practical points for Indian candidates:

• International card required. You need a credit or debit card enabled for international transactions. Most major Indian bank cards (Visa, Mastercard) work — enable international usage with your bank if it is not already active.
• Bank forex charges apply. Your bank will convert USD to INR at its prevailing rate and typically add a foreign transaction fee of 1–3%. Budget for this on top of the INR estimates here.
• Set your PMI® account location correctly. During PMI® registration, select India as your country. PMI® uses your account location and billing address to calculate applicable taxes and fees. Incorrect location details can cause discrepancies at checkout.
• No Indian GST on PMI® fees. PMI® membership and exam fees are international transactions — Indian GST does not apply. However, domestic training providers in India may charge 18% GST on their training fees. Confirm whether your training fee is GST-inclusive before enrolling.
• Exchange rate sensitivity. The INR figures in this article are based on approximately ₹95/USD (August 2026). The USD/INR rate has moved significantly in recent years — always check the live rate before making payment.

PMP® Exam Centres in India

PMI® offers two options for sitting the exam: at a Pearson VUE testing centre or online via OnVUE (Pearson VUE's remote proctoring platform). Both are available to Indian candidates.

Pearson VUE testing centres are available across India, including in major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and more.
