The agile and hybrid shift
The 2021 exam update significantly increased agile content. Today, approximately 50% of questions are set in agile or hybrid project contexts — Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and XP principles all appear. The remaining 50% covers predictive (waterfall) approaches. Questions do not announce which approach applies — you must read the context and respond accordingly.
This means simply memorising PMBOK process groups is no longer sufficient. You need working familiarity with agile ceremonies, roles, backlogs, sprints, and retrospectives. Our training covers both predictive and agile frameworks across all five sessions.
Time management strategy
With 240 minutes for 180 questions, you have approximately 77 seconds per question. In practice:
- →Answer straightforward questions immediately — do not over-think
- →Flag complex situational questions for review rather than guessing under pressure
- →Use your first 10-minute break after approximately question 60
- →Use the second break after approximately question 120
- →Allow 10–15 minutes at the end for reviewing flagged questions
