One of the first step you would do to start using the PMI website to apply for the membership and apply for the exam become a registered user of PMI.org, to do that log on to www.pmi.org, it will take you to the website on the top right corner you would see that login or register. go ahead and click the button. In this page, you could either log in using credential or register for new user of PMI (Project Management Institute).
Now apply for the PMI membership you must be register user of PMI, registration is free of charge you will not have any charge, so you have to click create account. Enter your first name, last name and email address i will recommend use you to personal email address instead of your official email address because you are moving one company to another company it is always advisable to use your personal email address
Enter your username and password then you can see the some of security question please choose any of your security question and type your answer, if you forgot your password it will ask your security question. type your company name and job title also focus of your organization and your functional area. so its upto you to revive promotional message from PMI if you would like to you can enable it or you can ignore it. ignore PMI memer id and click submit.
Now you could see top of the page your name appear at the top here which mean you have registerd at www.pmi.org as a registered user.
so thats all it take to become a registered user of PMI with this registration user name and password which is created now you could able to login and start applying for the membership as well as applying for any of PMI credential exam.
