Five steps from creating your PMI account to scheduling your exam.
Create your PMI account
Go to pmi.org and create a free account. This is where you will submit your application and, later, schedule your exam.
List your project experience
Document each qualifying project: title, organisation, your role, start and end dates, and a 200–500 character description. PMI requires project leadership experience — not just participation.
Add your 35 contact hours
Upload your completion certificate from 3FOLD Training (a PMI ATP). ATP certificates are accepted directly by PMI without additional verification.
Submit and wait for approval
PMI typically reviews applications within 5–10 business days. Some applications are selected for audit — we walk you through audit preparation as part of your enrollment.
Pay the exam fee and schedule
Once approved, pay the PMI exam fee ($405 for members, $555 for non-members) and schedule your exam at a test centre or online.
Application support is included — not an add-on
Most PMP training providers charge extra for application help or skip it entirely. Every student enrolled with 3FOLD Training receives live guidance on documenting experience, completing the PMI form, and preparing for audit. It is part of your training fee.
